I wrote a computer program to automatically convert images into ascii-overlaid versions of themselves.
Features include:
- Edge-detection
- Changing parameters during video
- Choice of symbols including shapes
- Choice of font size
- Optional pre or post processing
Please note that this works best with one one item in-focus due to the way it obfuscates edges.
I also tune the algorithm to fit each image.
